The "P" Word

Praise God, Kyle has no broken bones, at least as far as they can tell. It's very swollen, and the doctor said they'll know more after the swelling goes down. Everything looks normal thus far, thank goodness. Kyle worked-in "slow gear", which isn't usually part of his life. There's that word again: patience.

Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance.

Jacks knee is swelling a bit, and he is still having quite a bit of pain. He is also using it-maybe a bit more than he should? There's a fine line between working it and getting the best mobility possible for long term/working it too hard with too much swelling and pain, slowing down the progress. There's that word again: patience.

"But if we hope for what is still unseen by us, we wait for it with patience and composure.    Romans 8:25

Two friends are waiting to have cancer surgery; one a 49 year old mother of 4 who has cancer in both breasts, and must wait until March 1-the other a young man finding the perfect surgeon to do his prostrate surgery. There's that word again: patience.

"I waited patiently and expectantly for the Lord; and He inclined to me and heard my cry.   Psalm 40:1
